BIG WALK Charades Room: Match the Five Poses

Put one player in the soundproof room, match their five current poses to the nine handled pose pieces, and submit the row without losing its order.

Direct solution

Go to the red-and-green split building around 3250, 1940. Put one performer in the right soundproof room and leave one builder with the nine pose pieces. Lock the room and start the puzzle. The performer reads the five current actions from left to right, stands by the viewing window, and acts out one pose at a time, returning to neutral between poses. The builder numbers the nine candidate pieces, records the matching piece for answer positions 1-5, places those five pieces in the same order, checks the row once, and submits it. If a pose is rejected, repeat only that position with a larger arm or body angle; the five-pose target stays the same for the retry. A correct row releases the red Blue Tower control-panel piece.

Where to go

Travel to approximately 3250, 1940 on the lower Blue Tower route. The correct landmark is a red-and-green split building with two enclosed rooms, a central activation control, a viewing surface, nine loose tiles marked with body poses, and an outside reward pedestal. A room showing ordinary abstract symbols is a different locked-room puzzle.

Before starting

  • Bring at least two players: one performer and one builder. Keep those roles fixed until the row is accepted.
  • Before anyone is locked in, lay out or photograph all nine pose pieces and number them 1-9 in one stable reading order.
  • Number the five answer positions 1-5 from left to right. Do not reuse a row from another session.
  • Agree that the performer will hold each pose clearly, return to a neutral standing position, then begin the next pose.

    Find the red-and-green split building

Meet at the two-room structure around 3250, 1940. Confirm that its handled pieces show standing, crouching, and arm-position silhouettes rather than abstract icons.

You can see the two rooms, viewing surface, central control, nine pose pieces, and reward pedestal in the same small area.

Assign one performer and one builder

Send the performer into the right soundproof room. The builder stays outside with the nine handled pose pieces and must be able to see the performer through the viewing surface.

The performer is inside the target room and the builder has an unobstructed view plus access to every candidate piece.

Index the nine candidates before locking the room

Arrange the nine pieces in a stable 3-by-3 reading order and label them 1-9, top-left to bottom-right. Take one reference image if the pieces are scattered. Also write five empty answer slots: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

The builder can name any candidate by one number and has not moved a piece into the answer row yet.

Lock the room and activate the current target

Use the central control to lock and start the room. Wait until the performer can see the first pose prompt and the outside controls are active before interpreting anything.

The room is active, the performer has a visible target, and the builder can still see them at the window.

Perform positions 1-5 with a neutral reset

Starting at the leftmost target, the performer stands close to the viewing surface and holds the exact arm height, side, and standing or crouching state. Hold for two clear beats, return to neutral, then show the next target. Repeat through position 5 without changing the order.

The builder has observed five separate poses and can identify the neutral boundary between every pair.

  6. Builder matching the performed actions to the five ordered pose-piece slots

Record first, then build the five-piece row

For each answer position, write the candidate number before touching a tile. Read the recorded sequence back as five short pose descriptions, then place the matching pieces into slots 1-5 in that exact order. Treat the performer's left and right as authoritative so the view is not mirrored accidentally.

All five slots are filled, and each physical piece matches the written candidate number for the same position.

  7. Players rechecking one disputed top-or-bottom pose in the BIG WALK charades puzzle

    7

    Repeat only a disputed position

If two pieces look similar or the room rejects the row, keep the recorded order and point to the disputed answer position through the window. The performer repeats only that target with a larger arm angle or a deeper crouch, using neutral before and after. Replace only the proven wrong piece; the target remains static across the retry.

The builder can state exactly which one of the two candidates matches the exaggerated pose before resubmitting.

  8. Players confirming the accepted charades sequence and released Blue Tower reward

Submit once and confirm the red reward

Run one final left-to-right check, activate the submission control, and wait for the success state. Collect the released red control-panel piece before the group leaves for Blue Tower.

The row is accepted, the room exits its active state, and the team has the red Blue Tower piece.

Player-count plan

2 players

Use one performer in the right room and one builder outside. The builder operates the start, keeps the written five-position record, and handles every piece.

3-12 players

Keep only one performer and one piece-handler. Extra players can call out candidate numbers or watch arm-side details, but one builder owns the final sequence so the row is not reordered.

Common mistakes

  • Copying a five-piece row from a video or earlier session instead of reading the current target.
  • Starting the next pose without returning to neutral, so the builder loses the position boundary.
  • Mirroring left and right when the performer faces the builder through the window.
  • Moving similar tiles before numbering them, then forgetting which candidate was originally observed.
  • Filling five slots but leaving without activating the final submission control.

How to recover

  1. 1.On a rejected row, do not rebuild all five positions immediately. Keep the written sequence and repeat the least certain position first; the target remains unchanged for the retry.
  2. 2.If two silhouettes differ only by arm height or body level, have the performer exaggerate that single feature and hold it for two beats.
  3. 3.If left and right are disputed, compare from the performer's body side, not the builder's screen side, then replace only that tile.
  4. 4.If the loose-piece layout was disturbed, restore the numbered 3-by-3 arrangement from the reference image before continuing.
  5. 5.If a correct-looking row does nothing, verify positions 1-5 left to right and use the submission control again instead of restarting the room.
