BIG WALK Golden-Head Course: Guide the Blinded Player

Use one caller, short movement commands, and clear stop points to guide the golden-head wearer across the jumps, crouch section, tightrope, and final red button.

Direct solution

Take two players to the walled course around 3360, 1930. Leave one player outside as the only guide and have the other put the golden head from the pedestal onto their head. The wearer gets a heavily restricted view, so use only six calls: left, right, forward, stop, jump, and crouch. Add “tiny step” for narrow beams and “full speed” only on safe platforms. The outside guide should follow along the wall, stop the wearer before every edge, and realign them before each jump. After the crouch and repeated-jump sections, cross the final tightrope in tiny steps. At the red button, put the wearer’s arms down, guide them against the wall, make them look down, and press the button to unlock the control-panel piece.

Where to go

Travel to approximately 3360, 1930. The correct landmark is a tall, walled yellow-and-blue obstacle structure with the golden head on a pedestal outside its turnstile entrance. If there is no wearable gold face or the structure is only a flat symbol board, you are at a different Blue Tower puzzle.

Before starting

  • Bring at least two players: one wearer inside the course and one guide who keeps normal vision outside.
  • Choose a single caller. Extra players should stay silent unless the caller explicitly hands over the role.
  • Agree on the command set before equipping the head: left, right, forward, stop, jump, crouch, tiny step, and full speed.
  • Use “turn” only for camera rotation and “step” only for movement so the wearer never has to guess which stick to move.

Exact steps

Find the golden head and assign the two roles

Meet at the pedestal outside the walled course. The player with the clearest route view becomes the guide and stays outside; the other player enters as the wearer.

The guide can see the yellow course frame and the wearer is standing beside the gold face before anyone starts moving.

Equip the head and check the voice link

Place the golden head on the wearer. The wearer should stop immediately and answer the guide once; do not enter the first obstacle until both players can hear each other clearly.

The wearer reports a restricted, colour-heavy view and can repeat one test command from the guide.

Calibrate left, right, and step size

With the wearer still on safe ground, call one small left turn, one small right turn, and one tiny forward step. Say “stop” after every correction. When the wearer faces the first beam, switch to one instruction at a time.

The guide and wearer agree on camera direction and movement distance before reaching the first drop.

Clear the early jumps and crouch section

Guide the wearer to each edge with tiny steps, stop them, square their camera, then call “jump forward.” On a wide safe floor, explicitly allow normal movement. At the low opening call “crouch, forward,” then say “uncrouch” only after the wearer is fully clear; a second low gap follows shortly after.

The wearer passes the low red-and-green section and returns to standing on a safe platform.

Use a countdown for the moving-jump section

At the intricate middle section, reduce movement to roughly three tiny steps, stop, then call a single moving jump: “forward and jump.” Repeat only after the wearer has landed and the guide has checked both feet against the next platform.

The wearer lands beyond the red stepped platforms without continuing blindly into the next edge.

  6. Golden-head wearer crossing the final narrow yellow beam under outside guidance

Cross the final tightrope in tiny steps

The guide follows the outside wall to keep the wearer in sight. Use tiny forward steps, stop after every one or two steps, and correct the camera by small left or right turns. Never combine a direction correction with a forward call on this section.

The wearer reaches the last yellow platform beside the red wall without stepping past either edge.

Lower the arms, look down, and press the red button

At the end, tell the wearer to lower anything they are holding so the guide can see the body position. Nudge them right, then forward until they touch the wall. Stop, make them look down slightly, and press the red button.

The button activates and the wearer audibly or visibly confirms the interaction.

  8. Final button success state at the end of the BIG WALK golden-head course

Confirm completion before leaving the course

Wait for the activation state and confirm the control-panel piece is unlocked. Only then should the wearer jump down or remove the head; do not leave on the first button prompt if the success state has not appeared.

The team has the course completion reward and can safely exit the structure.

Player-count plan

2 players

Use one wearer and one guide. The guide walks outside the wall to maintain sightlines and remains the only caller from start to finish.

3-12 players

Keep the same two active roles. Extra players may scout the next outside sightline, but they should not issue movement calls; relay observations to the designated guide instead.

Common mistakes

  • Two people call opposite directions at the same time.
  • Using “left” without saying whether the wearer should turn or walk sideways.
  • Giving a long chain of instructions before the wearer completes the first movement.
  • Calling full-speed movement on a narrow beam or failing to stop the wearer before a jump.
  • Reaching the final wall but trying to press the button before lowering the wearer’s arms and looking down.

How to recover

  1. 1.After any fall, stop all calls and say “reset.” Return the wearer to the entrance or nearest clearly visible safe platform, then repeat the left/right calibration before moving again.
  2. 2.If left and right become confused, freeze the wearer and use camera-only turns until the guide can see their chest facing the route.
  3. 3.If the guide loses sight through the wall, keep the wearer stopped while the guide moves to the next opening; never guide from an assumed position.
  4. 4.If the wearer drifts near a tightrope edge, stop, rotate only a few degrees toward the centre, then take exactly one tiny step before checking again.
  5. 5.If the final button does not prompt, lower both arms, touch the wall, look down a little farther, and retry without leaving the platform.
